The George Vinall ALS Foundation is dedicated to raising money that is used to increase awareness of and finding a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, ALS, or commonly referred to as "Lou Gehrig's disease". A small of group of George's family and friends who have freely given their time and hearts to build this foundation almost from the time of George's passing.

During the past three years we have seen many old friends of George attend this annual event. Bringing different people together was always something George loved - he always said that having laughs with music and stories being told were always the reason to have events in the first place! When golf was added in our second year we began a sponsorship programs that allowed us to keep our event affordable and how our little event has attracted people who did not even know George. He would have loved seeing all the new people and watching all the worlds collide at an event like this.

Now in our fourth year we need your help even more. While we have grown each year, we need your help in inviting one more person to join you at this year's bash. Those of you that have come each year know that with only one new invite from each of you we would sell out this year's event and make it our biggest one yet. This year's event will again be held at the beautiful Bethesda Country Club in Bethesda Md, and include Golf, Dinner and Dancing with awards in the evening. Raffles for prizes and a silent auction with some great new gifts for all that can attend.

ALS is a horribly cruel disease. Those afflicted will lose their strength including voluntary use of arms legs and body, followed by the inability to breathe without ventilation support. Most people succumb to ALS from respiratory failure within 3 to 5 years of the onset of symptoms. There is no need for anyone to have to go through this. With help from donations like yours, we can contribute to finding a cure. At the same time we are keeping George's spirit alive and celebrated. "What a deal!"…He would say.
